Chicago is GREAT
I just saw Chicago this afternoon in USA. It is amazing. A must see.
Zeta-jones' singing and dancing is great. Zellweger is a good dancer, singing is ok. Richard Gere get a good job here. Being a Broadway musical fan, I saw Chicago on the stage. Though it took me some time to get used the the movie version, it is a good one. Some of the dancing is great. I would say it is the top 3 moives which is baesd on the Broadway musaical. The director and screen writer did a very good job transering the show into the moive. And the editing is great too. For sure when i go back to taiwan, will go to see it again. Down side of the movie is they cut 4 or 5 songs from the msucial.  (I am curious when the DVD come out, the R3 version will be good or not. Or should i go to buy R1. There is a song "Class" cut from the moive will be put back to the DVD. Well, let's wait to see what will hapeen in R3 DVD. Can't not wait to get the DVD. By the way, the other movies transfering from the musical i think are good is : The Little Shop of Horror The King and I What is your opinion? Sorry i am in usa and can not type in Chinese. |

哇！感謝大過年還有來自美國的一手連線報導。
Chicago真的很令人期待，好像"紅磨坊"一樣，再度讓人為好來塢演員的歌舞全才讚嘆不已。一流編、導、演的匯集，莫怪世界電影的市場幾乎都成為美國的腹地。 期待dvd儘快發行囉！ |

I would say Chicago is much better than "Moulin Rouge." Kidman can not really sing and dance.
The other good movie from the Broadway show is Cabaret. I forgot to put it on my list. |

By the way, can some one tell me the movie soundtrack of Chicago is in Taiwan yet? The CD here in NYC is so expensive, would like to buy it in Taiwan if the soundtrack is available there.
But of couse, i would suggest you people buy the 1996 Broadway cast recording or London cast recording. They are both worthing buying, and singing is much much better than in the movie. Cheers. |
