川普裁教育部1400人 最高法院「開綠燈」不擋
聯邦最高法院14日推翻波士頓聯邦第一巡迴法院早前的禁令， 讓川普政府得以重啟裁撤聯邦教育部計畫，近1400名員工將會丟飯碗。 教育部長麥克曼(LindaMcMahon)發聲明表示歡迎。 廢除教育部是總統川普去年最大的競選承諾之一，最高法院在未經辯論下， 以六票比三票，作出有關裁決，但沒有解釋「開綠燈」原因。 不過提出訴訟的麻州教師及教育團體表示，訴訟尚未完結並會繼續打官司到底， 認為目前即使是最高法院的裁決，也沒說明政府想要做的事情是合法的。 另一相關訴訟是民主黨州的檢察長共同提出，兩起訴訟合併審理。 受裁員影響的1400名教育部員工，自3月起就帶薪休假，如無意外將會全部正式解雇。 https://www.worldjournal.com/wj/story/121468/8872609
