Toy Story 3籌備的動作也就愈快，
不過現階段John Lasseter並沒有拍攝第三集的打算，
他現在正在為可能在2007或2008年推出的original film構思，
因此Toy Story 3根本就無法在短期之內推出，
Jobs的回答更是證明這一點, "Life is long."

此消息似乎已成定案，在製作出有史以來最暢銷最受歡迎的 Finding Nemo 之後，Pixar 在 2006 年會有新的電影發行公司。

January 29, 2004 - After nearly a year of negotiations, Pixar Animation Studios has ended its talks with The Walt Disney Company to extend their existing five-picture deal and will begin negotiations with other studios to distribute its films beginning in 2006.


"After ten months of trying to strike a deal with Disney, we're moving on," said Pixar CEO Steve Jobs in a statement released today. "We've had a great run together -- one of the most successful in Hollywood history -- and it's a shame that Disney won't be participating in Pixar's future successes."

Pixar owes two more films to Disney; Brad Bird's The Incredibles, due this November, and Cars, due in 2005. After that, Pixar is free. Under the terms of the existing agreement, Disney will retain the rights to distribute Pixar's first seven films, with Pixar continuing to receive its current share of the profits.

Interestingly, Disney will also have the rights to solely finance and produce sequels to the films if Pixar declines to co-finance and produce them under the terms of the current agreement. Let's see them try to get away with making a sequel to Finding Nemo.

To date, Pixar's five films -- Toy Story, Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc. and Oscar nominee Finding Nemo -- have earned more than $2.5 billion at the worldwide box office and sold over 150 million DVDs and videos.

有趣的是，文章中提到 Disney 仍然也有權利製作這些 Pixar 動畫的續集，意思就是未來還有機會看到 Toy Story 3 or Finding Nemo 2 的續集出現。

問題是內容上啊,說實在的近年來迪士尼的片子上所缺少的
正好是PIXER所充滿的部份,PIXER所出品的幾部片子
在小孩看的開心的同時,大人看了也能獲得許多的感動
反觀迪士尼,在獅子王之後,就慢慢的沒有這樣的感覺了

如果不是由PIXER出的續作,會不會淪為迪士尼近年來出的一些狗尾續貂的騙錢作品
實在令人堪慮

至於分家之後的Disney？我看是沒機會成為另一個Pixar.......
