PI (Parity Inner): No larger areas on the disc should exceed 280 PI errors, do not worry too much about high single spikes that exceeds 280. PO (Parity Outer): No larger areas on the disc should exceed 32 PO (actually PI uncorrectable) errors, do not worry too much about high single spikes that exceeds 32. 一般規格書所定義的PI error是要在連續8個ECC下,錯誤個數要小於280,而280這個數字是在每個位元組的錯誤機率在1/1000以下才能達成,而算法就讓數學佳的大大去推算,而有些碟機的算法與規格書有點不同,以相同的錯誤機率計算出來的錯誤個數約303,所以一般光碟片廠與光碟機廠所用的測試機是以規格書的定義為主,以280為規格,而end user所有的PI/PO檢測軟體得看碟機可以計算出什麼樣的數據而定,不過一般人一定不會知道 至於PO,規格書是指PO fail,也是在連續8個ECC下統計錯誤個數,基本上是不能有PO fail,而一般碟機所指的PO error並非規格書的PO fail,而是PI uncorrectable,這是指在ECC的一列上有連續5個以上的PI error,視為一個PI fail,在-R的規格書無定義規格,但在+R的規格書有定義要小於4 以上是個人心得,僅供參考,如有錯誤,尚請指正 |
