Second time around for IL MARE A new time travel movie Proving that the current trend to remake asian genre films hasn't died down at all, Warner Bros. has hired Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Auburn to write the english adaptation of IL MARE. The original film, a Korean science fiction/romance about a man and woman separated in time by two years and trying to find a way around the problem, came out in 2000 and was a hit in South Korea. The time-crossed lovers are able to communicate by depositing their letters in the mailbox outside their home (called Il Mare), which then mysteriously appear in the mailbox at a different time when the other person lived at the residence. from Cinescape |
