MO 5"25 已經殺到5.2GB跟9.1GB了........ but.........這些玩意已經不是平常人在玩的了...... 而且根據原祖Fujitsu的規劃,MO的接班人應屬ASMO.... |

Rewritable discs use a phase-changing metal alloy film for recording data and aluminum for the reflective layer. The alloy film is not as stable as the dye used in R discs because the material normally degrades at a faster rate... (該金屬層不如染料穩定,因為材料品質降低的速度較快) The phase-changing film is affected primarily by heat, but ultraviolet (UV) light may also be a factor in the aging process. ![]() 一直都是用錸德製面板標示 TRAXDATA 的 4X DVD+R 來備份資料
最近檢查發現2004年7月以前染料是RICOHJPN R01,7月以後改為RITEK R02 結果是2003年10月至2004年7月所燒的片子全部頭好壯壯 而2004年7月以後的片子不是PIE爆高就是PIF在不同位置出現大紅山峰 造成資料讀取錯誤產生,就跟網上其他大大所提的CIA自爆片狀況一樣 所以最近反而是急著備份一年以內的片子 |

其實以台灣氣候來說,偏潮濕,在保存資料上有了相當阻礙
我覺得不管哪一種儲存方式 最好是定期檢查 或是定期重新備份 結論就是 "縱時的定期重新備份+橫時的多份備份" |

MO真的是目前讓我最放心的 8年前備份的十幾片現在全部都沒問題. 有一片還亂丟掉到書櫃後面地上 大掃除時掃出來的 DATA也是OK 真希望DVD-RAM能取代MO (可惜目前官方數據看起來似乎保存性還差蠻多的) |
