流浪者 (Awaara) -- 寶萊塢電影的不朽里程碑
 [流浪者](Awaara, 1951)是首部在海外打開知名度的寶萊塢電影, 早在1955年就曾經在大陸上演過, 是最早被引進中國的印度電影, 老一輩的大陸同胞假如談起這部片子, 必定能夠勾起許多甜美的回憶. 2002年的坎城影展曾經為[流浪者]的導演拉傑卡普爾(Raj Kapoor)舉辦過回顧展, 今年初在台灣舉辦的印度影展, 他的兩部作品包括[流浪者]也是名列其中. 我最近透過香港網站買到大陸版的[流浪者]DVD, 終於能夠一睹這部不朽的經典名片, 雖然是晚了半個世紀, 但是對於台灣影迷而言, 應該還算是個蠻新鮮的話題吧!? [流浪者]開頭的情節, 讓人聯想到印度史詩"羅摩衍那"(Ramayana)中羅摩(Rama)和西妲(Sita)的故事, 印度電影多少會借用一些神話的典故. 話說上流社會中很有名望的法官拉貢納特, 他很疼愛自己的妻子裏列, 但是當裏列被強盜札卡擄去卻平安釋放之後, 他雖然相信妻子的清白, 然而卻無法忍受旁人的閒言閒語, 於是把懷孕即將生產的妻子逐出家門. 在一個淒風苦雨的黑夜, 孤伶無依的裏列在臭水溝邊生下她的兒子拉茲...... 年幼的拉茲和母親倆人相依為命住在孟買的貧民窟, 母親雖然辛苦工作三餐無繼, 但還是勉力供給兒子上學, 希望他將來能夠像父親一樣成為受人尊敬的法官. 拉茲很勤勞向學, 在學校也認識了女同學麗達, 倆人非常相親相愛. 可惜好景不長, 拉茲為了生計只好到街頭當擦鞋童, 因此遭受學校開除, 而且母親臥病在床饑寒交迫, 所以在強盜札卡的利誘之下, 拉茲終於成為小偷被捕入獄..... 拉茲在監獄進進出出長達十二年, 長大成人的他也甘心成為一個放蕩的流浪漢和小偷, 直到他在一次行竊中意外遇見童年的女友麗達, 倆人始終不忘舊情於是迅速成為一對真誠相愛的戀人. 可嘆的是命運捉弄人, 麗達的監護人竟然是拉茲的親生父親法官拉貢納特, 拉貢納特不曉得拉茲是他的兒子, 還百般阻撓麗達和拉茲倆人的交往. 拉茲想要改過向善重新作人, 但是工廠因為他曾經服刑過而開除他, 強盜札卡也脅迫他要重操舊業.....這對可憐的戀人要如何克服難關, 是否能夠有美好的結局呢? 拉茲和父親是否能夠相認, 要如何化解多年的恩怨情仇呢???......... 這部長達三小時的電影情節曲折離奇, 從開始的人倫親情悲劇到社會寫實, 再轉成黑色電影和卓別林式喜劇, 中段又變成浪漫到極點的愛情劇, 然後又是悲喜交集的恩怨糾葛, 加上不時點綴的動聽歌曲和華麗歌舞, 充分發揮寶萊塢電影特有的大雜燴風格. 從社會寫實的層面來看, 印度是一個階級觀念強烈的國家, 就像片中的法官拉貢納特信奉著荒謬的血統論, 認為好人的兒子一定是好人, 賊的兒子一定是賊. 拉貢納特在早年把無辜的札卡判刑, 就因為札卡是盜賊的兒子. 札卡出獄後變成真正的強盜, 間接造成拉貢納特家庭破裂妻離子散, 自己的兒子也變成了小偷, 這一切的罪惡根源都是來自拉貢納特荒謬的血統論. 導演拉傑卡普爾曾經說過, 決定一個人性格和習慣的不是血統, 而是環境. 拉茲的墮落也是因為社會棄他於不顧, 他在法庭上自白時說著, 他因為照顧饑病交迫的母親而去偷竊, 後來想要改過又因為前科而被工廠開除, 這個不公的社會也是需要被判刑的. 導演拉傑卡普爾出身於綿延四代的演藝家族, 他的父親普里特維(Prithviraj)是演過印度首部有聲片的資深演員, 在本片中飾演法官拉貢納特, 拉傑的三弟薩西(Shashi)也在片中演出幼年的拉茲, 拉傑卡普爾則是身兼導演和擔綱演出男主角拉茲. 拉傑卡普爾從小就在片場當學徒, 他對好萊塢黃金時期的電影研究非常深入, 據說他看過[大國民]超過15次, 也非常崇拜法蘭克卡普拉(Frank Capra)的導演手法. 從本片中可以看到他對光影的運用非常傑出, 強烈的明暗對比有黑色電影的味道. 拉傑在中段扮演流浪漢的造型和諧趣動作, 則是模仿卓別林, 後段明亮的浪漫愛情和華麗歌舞, 又是極富表現主義的色彩. 拉傑卡普爾參考好萊塢電影的技法, 融入印度傳統的歌舞和通俗劇, 締造出寶萊塢電影的特殊風格. 最後來談一下本片的歌舞, 片中有許多動聽的歌曲, 主題曲"拉茲之歌"(Awaara Hoon)是一首轟動全世界的名曲, 在大陸上演之後也是街知巷聞, 老一輩的大陸同胞可能都會唱. 另外還有婉轉動聽的"麗達之歌"和愛情二重唱"美麗皎潔的月亮".....本片的歌曲可能是我看過的印度電影中最好聽的, 女主角麗達的配音是Lata Mangeshkar, 歌聲非常輕柔細膩, 男主角拉茲的配音則是Mukesh, 逗趣或深情的演唱同樣傑出. 拉傑卡普爾曾經說過, Lata是他的靈感, Mukesh則是他的靈魂. 西洋樂評家也非常欣賞本片的歌曲, 認為是1950年代最佳的電影原聲帶之一. 我覺得本片的歌曲跟中國的小調有點類似, Lata的歌聲跟周璇和鄧麗君相比似乎也是毫不遜色. ======================================================= 劇照欣賞........ 拉茲和麗達是兩小無猜的青梅竹馬.......  拉茲為了生計只好到街頭當擦鞋童.......  長大後的拉茲變成放蕩的流浪漢和小偷, 這個流浪漢的造型和動作都是模仿卓別林. 正在演唱的是本片的主題曲"拉茲之歌"(Awaara Hoon), 堪稱是轟動全世界的名曲......  拉茲和麗達久別重逢, 舊情依然不滅.......  麗達和朝思暮想的情人重逢, 喜悅地歡聲高歌...... 此曲是本片中著名的插曲"麗達之歌", 歌聲婉轉動聽......  拉茲和麗達合唱"美麗皎潔的月亮", 相當好聽的愛情二重唱......  長達九分鐘的愛情歌舞夢境, 豪華的佈景, 極富表現主義的色彩......  此文章於 2005-03-22 11:37 AM 被 PromLin 編輯. |

這篇可能會創下零回應的記錄, 自己來寫些後記好了........
本來還有很多想寫的, 例如: 導演拉傑卡普爾的趣事, 還有女主角--印度最偉大的女演員納爾吉絲(Nargis)的生平軼事....可是篇幅已經夠長了, 等有空再來補述....... 原先不想寫那麼多劇情, 但是不提劇情, 就很難去說明本片的風格和導演手法. 好像沒有把骨架先支撐出來, 就很難去貼上血肉. 寫了三段劇情, 也只是本片的前半段而已, 應該都沒有透露到關鍵的劇情. 不想先瞭解劇情的人, 可以跳過去不看, 或者當作是看故事也無妨...... 今年初的印度影展, 我沒有辦法前去觀賞, 幾位曾經去參與過的網友, 好像也都漏掉了這部片子, 許多人似乎都把薩吉耶雷排在較前的順位....... 想看本片的人, 可以在香港網站買到大陸版DVD......... http://www.layoyo.com/cgi-bin/ncomm...UAGE=2&curr=USD |

說實在的因為沒有看過電影也很難一起討論
還好PromLin很貼心地跟大家說了購買方法! 這樣就不會零回應了啦  我倒是很想說 每次PromLin大大介紹的片 介紹方式不透漏劇情關鍵一值是誘拐我去買dvd的原因  因為要是事先都知道整個架構跟劇情了 看電影的整個情緒絕對就不會有"第一次"的感覺 我喜歡每次看電影,那部電影都有一部份讓我有"第一次"的感覺  引用:

American musicals in their heyday were mostly about the lives of prominent show business personalities or small town middle class Americana, never about the outcast or the urban slum dweller. This is not the case with the films of Indian director Raj Kapoor, whose films call attention to the less fortunate and, in the case of Awaara, the vagabond whose life of crime is the inevitable outcome of growing up in the slums. Here, Kapoor's real father (Prithviraj Kapoor) plays a heartless judge who accuses his pregnant wife (Leela Chitnis) of infidelity after she is kidnapped by bandits. The stern judge staunchly believes that a thief's son will always be a thief and a good man's son will always turn out good. In a series of flashbacks, the film dramatizes the unfortunate consequences of this belief system.   The son, Raju, played by the director as an adult and by his brother Sashi Kapoor as a child, is born on the streets and grows up in the slums. Under the guidance of a ruthless bandit named Jagga (K. N. Singh), he turns to stealing to help support his mother. Raj has little to comfort him except for a picture hanging on the bare walls of his house of Rita, his childhood sweetheart played by the stunning Nargis, a real life lover of Kapoor. The romance between Raj and Rita is one of the central motifs of the film, and the chemistry between the two is electric. Raju, the tramp, is forced to live on his wits, but does so with humor and a Chaplinesque charm. Awaara is reminiscent of both 40s film-noir with its dark cobblestone streets and menacing shadows, and, in its social conscience, of the great Italian neo-realists like de Sica. But basically, Awaara is still in the Bollywood tradition; that means drama, romance, music, comedy, and action -- all put together in a total package to appeal to a wide audience. With great songs and dances, amazing dream sequences, style and panache, strong drama, and an inspiring message, it is not surprising that Awaara became one of the most popular films in Indian cinematic history. Director: Raj Kapoor Awaara was the third film that Raj Kapoor directed and interestingly it stared four generations of the Kapoor family. Following the success of the album Shankar Jaikishen became part of the RK Camp of resident music directors. Initially Mukesh was seen as Dilip Kumars voice but this all changed when he sung Awaara Hoon he became know as Raj Kapoors ghost voice. Surprisingly the soundtrack didn't actually win any major awards but this didn't stop its title song Awaara Hoon from being dubbed in Turkish, Persian, and Arabic. In 1954 Awaara was dubbed and released in Russia where it became an over night hit and shot the lead pair Raj Kapoor and Nargis to instant fame. When they visited the country, a Russian brass band greeted them at the airport playing Awara Hoon and the fans insisted Raj Kapoor sing along to the song. Raj Kapoor left such an impact in Russian that he was the only non Russian besides Chaplin to be mentioned when the country celebrated 100 years of Cinema. Awaara Track List 1. 兩年前就在大陸買到這部片子
可是一放竟然是國語發音.......  於是就擱置一旁了.......不過大陸網友應該對此片相當熟悉 如今樂悠有賣,確實應買回來欣賞.........

我買到的大陸版DVD有印度語和國語兩種配音. 中文字幕有繁體和簡體兩種, 翻譯相當不錯. 特別收錄把所有的歌舞片段收集在一起, 不過特別收錄的聲音好像有點不同步, 正片就很正常. |
