Following the width taken by the history of the "false photographs" of the chart nForce, MSI decided to provide a response by the very official way of the press release that here:


Following the rumour diffused by certain forums and newsletters, concerning putting into circulation of photographs "faked" of the mother charts MSI containing chipset nForce 4 SLi, MSI makes a point of clarifying the following points:

> the diffused photographs, were only intended for an internal use to illustrate the commercial formations

> the true photographs (attached) are available on request

In addition, the first tests of charts MSI nForce4 SLi with the 6600GT, 6800GT and 6800 Ultra are excellent. MSI will sample the first charts starting from mid-November for a setting on sale at the end of the NDA imposed by nVIDIA.


Firstly, MSI acknowledges here to be well the author of the photographs in question (it thus does not act of a "rumour"). However, MSI stresses that these photographs were intended "for an internal use to illustrate the commercial formations" and would not have thus to in no case to find itself on the site presses nVidia. The boob thus returns obviously to nVidia. A photograph of the "true" chart is provided besides. Remain to know if it is not a question of simple "a mechanical sample" since nobody still could see the chart of MSI under operation.

It seems also obvious that the creation of a mother chart nForce4 SLI requires a work much more important than for the other variations. Moreover, nVidia must still send a new revision of the chipset in order to regulate several bugs major. Certain manufacturers also reproach nVidia for not having provided technical information of sound chipset which has the last minute, except for Asus which could lay out about it well before its competitors, of or presentations of the nForce 4 SLI on Asus charts only since the advertisement...

Derniere information, nVidia thus also imposed a NDA to the manufacturers on the setting on sale of the charts containing nForce 4 SLI! A commercial practice trés doubtful since official advertisement with already made. To announce a product and to put a prohibition on its marketing before many weeks at a name, it is a question of a paper launch. Aprés the 7 months of the nForce 2 between the advertisement and marketing and into constant that the NV45 are still not available masses four months of them after their advertisements, one would be tempted to say : "One moreover?"
