ECS releases new, value priced wireless, cordless, fanless, noiseless DeskNote A530

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), creators of the revolutionary DeskNote concept, today released its new DeskNote A530, a wireless, cordless, fanless, noiseless portable DeskNote that costs hundreds less than similarly featured competitors.

Designed for the 'multitasking' user who needs a PC ready to work -or play -anywhere, DeskNote 'on the go' is ready to go at home, at work or most anywhere in between.

Powered by advanced, cool-running Transmeta 1 GigaPro processor, DeskNote A530 comes with a state of the art 512KB L2 cache on die, the LongRunTMPower Management technology, a compact 474 pin ceramic BGA package, x86-compatible code execution combined with Code MorphingTMsoftware and 128MB onboard PC133 SDRAM, expandable up to 384 MB.

In its slim, stylish, sleek twilight silver anodized aluminum LCD case, DeskNote A530 looks elegant and refined. It's packed with great features, but some of its best features are what it doesn't have.

1. It's fanless
Though most 'hot' chips generate heat that must be dissipated with a noisy fan, DeskNote A530 is powered by an advanced, cool-running Transmeta processor that requires no fan. Cool operation means stability, no sudden crashes and safer, longer computer life.

2. It's cordless
DeskNote A530's internal battery pack frees its owner from power cord hassles while delivering two hours of power for basic operations along with minimum weight and lower cost. An optional upgrade doubles power to approximately four hours.

3. It's wireless
Many schools, airports and even coffee shops now provide wireless LAN access. With an integrated WiFiTM - compliant wireless LAN (802.11b) available as configurable option, DeskNote A530 is ready to access the rapidly expanding world of wireless communication - at home, at work and on the go.

4. It's noiseless
DeskNote A530's fan free operation brings another great productivity plus: Fanless operation means the peace and quiet to do the best work whether running the DeskNote A530 at midnight in your room, 'on the go' in a busy office or in a tranquil park.

5. It costs less
Competing models offering wireless LAN access cost hundreds more. DeskNote A530 delivers an unbeatable combination of features and value without a high price tag that makes this notebook the best choice for a first wireless LAN-capable laptop.

What DeskNote does have is impressive as well. The full-featured notebook comes with an easy-on-the-eyes 14.1-inch XGA TFT LCD with 1024 x 768 resolution; a SiS 315E 256-bit graphic engine that supports up to 143MHz 3D engine clock with on board discrete graphic memory; and ATA100/66/33 enhanced IDE (PIO mode 4) hard drive with optional upgrades to 20/30/40 GB and beyond. Its communication capabilities include an on-board Realtek 8100B, full duplex 10/100 Base-T LAN Ethernet controller; 56K V.90 modem supported by a mini PCI card; and four high speed USB 2.0 ports ready to meet diverse requirements for connecting to various peripherals powered by an integrated USB 2.0 host controller in VIA VT6202 delivering a transfer rate up to 480Mb/s. It comes with a 2-hour 4-cell Li-Ion battery pack and with an available upgrade to an 8-cell Li-Ion battery pack, good for about four hours of power.

Along with the optional wireless LAN feature, factory options provide a wide range of choices for optical media access. They include a slim type CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or combo (DVD-ROM+CD-RW) drive.


這A530搞笑了 已經完全失去原本Desknote的定位 搞到我完全不懂這次他出這作啥?

以下幾點我整理一下

1 用tranmeta無力CPU...說是為了完全無風扇的靜音而設計..好吧 姑且原諒你 就當作你是要賣怕吵的上班族好了
2 內建電池.... COW! 這你乾脆叫他NB 何必叫DESKNOTE? CPU都用NB專用的泛美達了 加上電池內建... 挖勒鳥勒 這不是NB是啥? 就因為你記憶體用的是桌上型的所以不叫NB嗎 XD
3 128mb 最多擴充到384mb 384連sims4都會跑到LAG.... 枉稱DESKNOTE之名 實際上能力卻比一般NB還弱 這叫做DESKNOTE嗎?

4內建無線上網ok拉 反正成本很低了 早該內建了 然而他卻是"optional" 我的媽阿 真不夠意思! 5 安靜也很好啦 fanless耶....完全無噪音吧 唯一的優點XD 6 priceless就是省錢啦 屁了一堆 怎麼不實際上報個價出來 CC

7 又是sis315 用不膩喔 3Dmark01跑2000分的東西....明年還能吃多少遊戲 令人懷疑 反正真的要買這東西 就不是買來打電動用的... 既然不是打電動用的 那最重要的就是"重量"問題 以及擴充問題 A530很夠義氣的放了usb2.0...一共四個頭
重量.....2.6kg! 老實話不算很重 但也不輕了阿
