感覺法國阿媽比較摳,要東西寄回去檢查後再採取適當的回應措施(可能寄新品來或是退錢給你),而且要你採用一般標準郵寄方式寄,那寄到法國再等他mail回應,我想至少要一個月吧...
怎麼美國阿媽跟法國阿媽差這麼多,美國阿媽都是先寄新品來在說(比較少有refund的情形),是因為美國郵寄到台灣比法國方便嗎??不然怎麼美國跟法國阿媽爽的處置措施差這麼多?

I think it is reasonable for Amazon.Fr to ask you to ship back the defective product first and then refund the shipping.

First of all, when the product is damaged during shipping, it is not even Amazon's fault. You should be glad that they are willing to refund the shipping charges. A lot of online stores in USA don't even refund shipping charges.

Second, when you want to return something you bought in Taiwan, do you think it is possible for the store to give you another merchandise first and then see 'if you have time to return' the damaged product?
No, right? A lot of stores in Taiwan don't even let you exchange a damaged merchandise, much less let you have the merchandise first and return the damaged merchandise later.

If you are the boss, do you think you would do what Amazon.fr does or what Amazon.com does?

Now you know why Amazon.com is still unable to make profit until now

Whatever Amazon.com do, they do it out of generosity, not out of normality. We should not think of it as the normal way to do business, nor should we abuse that generosity. If one day Amazon.com stops shipping to Taiwan, it is the DVD buyers like us who will suffer.

That is why a lot e-tailers no longer ships to Taiwan now. (DVDSOON.... etc)

的確,許多網站(不單只美國)都沒有refund shipping charges,Amazon.com能做到這一點,的確是消費者之福.
但請試想,Amazon.com賣的價格一般都比其他網站(相對於其他美國網站而言)賣的貴,其貴的原因小弟認為在於其提供的服務,這也是其吸引消費者(某些注重服務)的特點,若Amazon.com只能做到一般網站服務的水準,以其商品販售的價格又有何競爭力可言呢,故在小弟個人觀點裡,refund shipping charges只能算是吸引顧客的一個特點,應該在其公司成本考量的範圍內,因為此成本不一定會發生(在商言商嘛,殺頭生意有人做,賠錢的生意可是沒人會做的)

再者,今日的台灣雖說保障消費者的權益還不如美國那麼完善,但是購買到瑕疵品不能退換的情形,在台灣也已經越來越少了,若是有人不幸遇到此等惡劣之商家或廠商,本就應該就自身權益據理力爭,不要讓此等惡劣之商家或廠商橫行,若不知處理此等情事,可向消基會請求協助.

If you think that amazon's price is high because of good customer service, you are wrong. Compared to other e-tailers, Amazon.com's customer service is slightly below average. In fact, people in US only shops at Amazon.com because of STL and coupons as well as pre-order discounts, not because of good customer service. People in U.S. believes that Amazon.com over charges its products and provides terrible customer service.

Do you know that in U.S., Amazon,com does not refund the return shipping charges? Therefore why Amazon.com refund the return shipping charge to Customers in Taiwan is a mystery.

Perhaps Amazon's high shipping includes postal insurance. Therefore, they are able to take losses like that.

I have talked to DVDSOON regarding this matter. A representative told me that they no longer ship to Taiwan or HK because the probability of merchandise damaged or lost during freight is incredibily high, compared to other countries. He contributed this to the population density. However, I think otherwise. Japan and Singapore are both very populated, but why does DVDSoon still ship to these countries?

發生這種事真的很麻煩,我上次在DirectVideo也遇到了這種事,可以參考這裡
也是花了一個多月,不過到最後總算收到了全新的東西,把損壞品寄回去的錢也還給我了,不過期間真的是寫了很多封mail,很麻煩

看老爹講才知道原來amazon在美國的客服還不算好,不過我覺得起碼他們會回信的速度很快,
這點我就很滿意了,最怕遇到那種寫信去還不太鳥你的站,像DirectVideo
