(CDROM or a high end CDplayer or whatever)

Nero or CloneCD, on the fly 燒出來, 然後CDROM or CD Player能夠讀得到不就好了?

Some other variables to consider.......

one of the the more obscure factor is the room temperature since the emission frequency of most lasers are temperature sensitive. Now this creates 2 problems.

1: is the focusing of the laser, since usually the lens of the pickup is fixed, the size of the laser spot projected on the Dye will vary with the frequency, when the laser spot is too big, you've got a problem.

2: The dyes have different sensitivities to laser power at different
light wavelengths. So the optimum recording window of a dye formulation might be missed, besides the fact that the optimum recording power changes with frequency of the laser.

OPC (Optimum Power Calibration) can solve some of these problems but not completely.

The same factor can influence the CD DA reading process.....

And of course the power-supply issue is important, even during hte playback phase.

So we've got

Media, software, Cables used, Recording setup, Reading setup, enviromental conditions, etc. as significant variables to this test.

>_<

Takuro: so where are the Datas???

Re: Some other variables to consider.......

It's very difficult to control these variables even in Lab., I think.
But at least the twice calculations of the signature on the same disk get the identical result; so I think the experiment is still reliable to some extend.
The Data..., maybe I should put the 1st track wav files of these disks onto a CDR and send it to someone who interests in it, but I think the data are not enough to determine whether the quality of audio varies from one cdr to the others....

So some more point to make

Low C1/Bler may not imply the cd is good sounding (but is very good for Data storing)
High C1/Bler will result in distorted sound
A good sounding CD will have a low error rate (c1/Bler)

and yes this is stupid.....
