I think sometimes one can be accused of being 亂說話 because the 參考資料 they are using just blatantly don't make sense or obeviously wrong.
Carefully judging what you have seen and make proper reference is definitely an art.
Also i think the case here is just that Fabio has seem more data than you do, and from different sources.
I do not think its the CS training that makes you 搞不懂別人要表達的東西.
Anyways...
Just don't let those negative words get to you.
