我也沒有說你有說criterion出的一定比所謂的SE版好啊

There are so many misconceptions in the DVD world...

The only reason I am talking about the difference between Criterion Collection and Special Edition is because...

compared with SE, CC are very expensive
(For example, Brazil CC has a MSRP of US 59.95, but the SE is only 19.95)

Brazil CC is definitely worth buying.
but on the other hand, I am not so sure about Silence of The Lamb CC

For Silence of the Lamb SE, the audio is re-mastered, the video is re-touched up.

In my opinion, Criterion Collection is the way to go for older movies ( if newer versions are not yet released )

DVDs such as Seven Samurai CC ( 黑澤明的七武士) and Unbearable Lightness of Being CC (布拉格的春天) are collector's items now...

We just want to get the best DVD with as little money as possible right?
