You said "that ABIT KG7 is a "dream platform".I don't think so.Because the AMD761 chipset only can support 2 dimms DDR to 2GB(max).It limited the end user to add more Unbuffered DDR.It only can use 4 dimms Registered (ECC) DDR to 4GB.If you need to use more then 2GB DDR memory,it must pay more cost to change your unbuffered DDR to Registered DDR.The Abit design 4 DDR dimms is not good,if the Abit doesn't tell you only can use 2 dimms unbuffered ddr on their 4 dimms socket.You will think why them tell you their motherboard can install 4 dimms DDR.
Besides,if you only use one ddr to install,it must install on dimm4 not dimm1.It will cause some install trouble for the user.If you install the other dimm,it can't boot your system.
