Received Purple Heart for his wounds on June 29, 1944. Released from Army Hospitals on: October 8, 1945. He returned to Philadelphia and started a career with Westinghouse Electric. He was called back to active duty; served in the Korean War and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant.

After the war, Al went back to PA for a while, then reenlisted in the service. He stayed with the airborne and served as a jump instructor in China. From there, he went on to serve in the Korean War.
¾Ô«á¡A¥L¦^¨ì¶O«°¡AµM«á¤S³Q©Û¤JªA§Ð¡C¤]¬O¦b³Ê§L³¡¶¤ªA§Ð¨Ã¥B¦b¤¤°ê°µ爲¸õ³Ê±Ð©x¡C¡]¦ôp¬O°V½m°êx³Ê§L¡^«á¨Ó¤S°Ñ¥[¤F´ÂÂA¾Ôª§¡C
He married and had two children, a son and daughter; lived in North Carolina with his family. He died on December 17, 1967; buried in Arlington with full military honors.
