What happens when a grieving family just happens to be in the grief management business? The Fishers are a dysfunctional Pasadena family that run a funeral home and are recollecting for the holidays.

But tragedy strikes when father Nathaniel Fisher𠏋 (Richard Jenkins) new hearse is run into by a municipal bus ?even as his son Nate Fisher (Krause, It𠏋 A Shame About Ray) is on his way back home.

The family must now deal with a death of their own while going ahead with their business ?that of providing services to the living to bid adieu to their dead.
