Devine had surgery on his right elbow Tuesday and is out for the season, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Recommendation: Since it was Tommy John surgery, Devine could be out until the middle of next season. Brad Ziegler will man the closer's role for the A's for the foreseeable future.
