OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA (TICKER) —The Oakland Athletics claimed second baseman
Yung Chi Chen off waivers from the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old prospect had spent the last five seasons in the Mariners’
organization. In 2008, he made 47 starts at second base and 20 at third with
Tacoma of the Pacific Coast League before suffering a season-ending right knee
injury.

就是 運動家隊 從水手隊那邊把 陳鏞基 claimed 過來 (被水手放到waiver)
這對陳鏞基來說也是一件好事
希望他能有更好的發展

是透過規則五選秀取得的嗎？
剛才去查了一下運動家隊目前的roaster，原來的固定先發二壘手是Mark Ellis，目前在60天DL中，
陳鏞基未來的競爭對手將會是老將Joe Dillon和同年次的Eric Patterson，這兩位去年的成績都不怎麼樣，陳鏞基明年好好加油（重點是不要再受傷了
），
登上大聯盟的機會應該很大。（除非運動家隊另外又透過交易選來A咖二壘手）
其實他這兩年至少應該有九月擴編大聯盟見習的機會，都是因為受傷壞了事，祝福他明年一整季健康無礙，好好打拼！
