Fix a Recoverable Partition using PTEDIT from the rescue diskettes

1.Boot the computer using the first PartitionMagic rescue diskette.

2.When prompted to insert the second rescue diskette, press Ctrl+C, and then press Y to halt the batch process.

3.At the command prompt, type the following text: 
    ptedit

4.Locate the Recoverable Partition (partition type 3C). 
     If the Recoverable Partition occurred on a logical partition, click GoToEPBR to locate the correct partition.

5.Click the Type field that is associated with the 3C partition.

6.Click Set Type.

7.Select the appropriate partition type. 
     For example, click FAT32 if the partition type was FAT32 before the Recoverable Partition.

8.Save the changes and exit.
