Rickie Weeks tied an NL record on Friday by scoring a run in a 17th straight game.

Weeks eclipsed Paul Molitor’s Brewers-record streak of 16 straight games in 1987 and tied the NL mark held by Rogers Hornsby in 1921 and Ted Kluszewski in 1954. The major league record is 18 games, held by Red Rolfe (1939) and Kenny Lofton (2000). Weeks actually scored three times today, giving him seven runs in four games.
