I have to scratch my head and figure out why you want me to write a paragraph!? Of course you don't really mean it, do ya?
RunSun has got his point. Seniors who don't even know alphabet will shout "hurrah" if they have a chance to speak English, simple or complex, in front of an English spoken people. So you expect grandpa/grandma to go through a rigorous way to learn ABC? Please! No way and that’s how I see RunSun’s approach kick in.
Did RunSun ask us to take his approach as a Hallelujah way? I seriously doubt that you have browed through everything he’s said. Anyway, I vote it timber-down on people who over look patency. There are others, more efficient, less complicated ways available. RunSun can be the one.

Are you sure about the "Seniors" idea? Here is the original post .
"這篇文章是讓許多英文不好或不會的<同學>,重新用簡單的方法來學英語、英文…
主要針對26個英文字母認識不深,也沒學過kk或其它音標的初學者…這些<同學>一接觸英文就像看外星文,一但跟不上進度就被半強迫放棄學英文…
台灣人學英文的痛,很多<英文學的不錯的同學>,閱讀和寫可能都沒問題但是就是說不出口,或是無法唸好一個完整的句子…"
If you have something to express, please remember "read before reply". For most of the students, the best way of learning probably is "just doing it".
There is no "easy way" to learn any language, if you want to use it as a practical communcation tool. However, if you really need to show off with short notice, this [using chinese to mimic english] may be a good approach.
In fact, this [mimic] idea had been carried out as a common practice in computer industry. For example, when the powerful 32 bits PC becomes more affordable, the "MAME emulator" can be used to run these old arcade games under Windows.
Here is another question - if we can use a 32 bits P4 to emulate an 8 bits arcade machine, can we apply the same principle and use a 32 bits P4 to emulate a 64 bits computer? You probably have to try it to understand my opinion. Although emulator is the fast approach at the beginning, later during the further development stage, it serious limits theoretical performance. Compare to the dramatical drop of communcation performance , the fast beginning is no longer good enough in the long run.
Of course, for the one-time-only application (e.g. senior citizens having the 1st international flight), the MAME [e.g. using chinese to mimic english] strategy is still an acceptable solution.
There are at least two higher level computer languages - the compiler (e.g. classical C) and the interpreter (e.g. classical BASIC). Of course, there are also some computer languages sit in the middle (e.g. Pascal - pseudo code).
The idea of RunSun is more like BASIC, and the performance of BASIC usually is $%#@!. However, BASIC is an easy computer language for the beginner. The remaining question - is BASIC good enough? For the weekend programmers, BASIC probably is good enough.
On the other hand, we should try to understand one basic thing - the process of young children learning chinese (or any other language). Is there any other way to learn language, insteading of repeatly practice? I simply doubt there has such a miracle way to learn language.
I am an average Joe; therefore, my suggestion is only good for the average person.
Summary:
For the casual gamer:
MAME is not bad at all. However, the game won't be able to run at full speed all the time. (For the casual english speaker, using chinese to mimic english is not bad at all. However, your english probably is not as fluently as the others.)
For the intermediate gamer:
Forget about the MAME emulator idea (chinese emulate english), unless you have too much brain power (like P4) sitting there. (For the intermediatel english speaker, unless you are way smarter than the average people, the results won't worth the brain power used.)
If you consider to become the serious gamer later:
Well, don't use the approach with serious performance limit. Let's spend enough time and use good quality part.
Do it right from the beginning will cost less in the long run.
