不論倍速，這裡有兩張圖顯示1640的Data CD數值可以比Plextor跟Yamaha好。

這是CDFreak對DW 1640 CD燒錄方面的評價：
「It’s an outstanding CD-Writer, the quality is excellent and most drives can’t keep up with it in terms of quality.」

這是CDRLab對DW 1640 CD燒錄方面的評價：
「The DW1640's writing quality is fairly good for the most part.」

「When it comes to reading and writing CD-R's and CD-RW's, the DW1640 is a notable improvement over the DW1620. Many more CD-R's burned at their rated speed, and with much better results.」


在downside方面，兩個網站提到的都是CD-RW方面的品質跟速度問題有待加強跟改善.......CDRLab建議以stick to 12x就好。不過說要頂著用，也是沒有什麼大問題。

如果你是要處理CD-R的話，這兩個網站給的都是正面評價的。

但真有CD-R的強烈而大量的需求，還是如上面大大所言，用一台CD燒錄機頂著才是。不然一般人使用而言，一台通吃就可以了。
