Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of King Kong (Deluxe Extended Edition) for 14th November 2006. Peter Jackson's remake of the 1933 original comes to DVD once again, this time in its oft-discussed extended form with all-new bonus features.
Specs and features are TBC on this three-disc set that will be available priced at $34.98 SRP, or as part of a Gift Set priced at $79.98 SRP.

所以..不是大家預期的四碟版  這樣總共的內容跟雙碟+日記比起來不知道誰多 
我倒是好奇R1的Gift Set付的東西會不會像是R3的金剛寶寶
