An intense war movie that recounts human bravery and courage. Based on actual events during World War II, this film tells the story of five Allied soldiers trapped behind enemy lines in the winter of 1944.

Separated from the American troops, the five, led by the young Corporal Nathan Greer (Allred), hide out in the woods. Their fight for survival and their mission to get back to Allied lines is all the more heightened when they meet stranded British intelligence officer Oberon Winley. Winley holds vital information that could save the lives of thousands of Allied soldiers.

如英文簡介所說,故事描述美軍1944冬天在歐洲戰場的故事,有分屬不同部隊四個美軍(其中有兩位是101空降師)被打散了深陷於德軍防線內,他們必須共同靠一把步槍四顆子彈,在冰天雪地下突圍回到部隊.但是成員裡面有冷漠的醫護兵,有快發瘋不睡覺的神槍手,有煙癮發作卻無煙可抽的大兵,問題不小.
途中又搭救一位英國軍官,他身上有緊急軍情攸關部隊存亡一定要送達,於是突圍回去變成一件緊急任務了!!

一向救人的醫護兵竟然拿起槍來廝殺(見海報) ,而且這片也和雷恩大兵一樣抓到了一個德軍俘虜,不過處理方式和史匹柏不同喔!!!

巧的是,此片導演的名字就叫做雷恩!!
