International to finally receive set with U.S. bonus features from 2002

London — Reps from Universal Pictures International Video have finally confirmed what fans have suspected for months: a 20th Anniversary set is forthcoming to consumers outside North America beginning this October.

While details regarding the international repromotion for Back to the Future are still being finalized, one of our contacts in the London-based office has shed a little light on the upcoming DVD re-release.


"We are planning to release a 4-disc BTTF set from October on in all international markets. This 4-disc set will consist of the original trilogy discs (x3) plus an additional new bonus disc (content only released in US previously)."


Furthermore, I'm told that UPIV is currently busy creating a new limited-edition artwork specially for this release, and once finalized, they promise to provide us with a copy of the packshot to post along with all of the upcoming release dates for all regions.


There has been no official word at this time as to what plans are being formulated for U.S. consumers regarding any Future DVD releases, however, further details are expected to arrive soon. Stay tuned.
