Attention!!the frequency of FX55 is 2.6G
Maybe dothan seems weak in some encoding tests.
But don't forget...
For encoding,fsb is a very important character.
Dothan ONLY uses 100mhz fsb(400mhz bus speed).
However, Pentium4 uses 200mhz fsb(800mhz bus speed) and A64 has memory controller.
I can't imagine HOW POWERFUL DOTHAN IS if Intel add high fsb or memory controller to dothan.

Without O.C. Dothan 755 is almost bloody murdered by AMD FX55.
Clock ,system bus and memory speed is the stuff that counts when doing something such as enconding or compression.I cant agree with you more.....
But....Is there anybody force Dothan to run higher clock or higher FSB？？？Nobody.
One 10ghz Dothan with 2000mhz FSB and 32mb cache must be very cool....everyone knows....thats blether.
Manufacturer provides products accorsding to the technology ,yield rate ,acceptance and possibility,right？
My point is the unfounded estimate of future doesnt has lots value . The non-standardlized (O.C） consequence could be taken it as a reference , not a self-contented reason.
So..the truth is...Dothan 755 is surely bloody murdered by AMD FX55 nowaday....Dont be sad..today is just a brief not always.
