An OEM is a company that uses product components from one or more other companies to build the product that are sold under the customer’s authorization.
一個OEM公司使用來自一個或多個公司所提供的產品元件, 建立自有客戶認同的產品.
Intel 是這句話裡OEM公司的代表....(唯重點在於東西都不是英特爾的, 而是華碩自有的...即一個公司所提供的元件)
For the case that the OEM companies are capable to design the products, will be the ODM.
另一個案子, 有能力設設產品的OEM公司呢, 就是所謂的ODM...
Sony 即是這個 ODM 公司....
另一個 OBM 倒是第一次聽到...  呵呵, 讓我多認識一個新知,

我想分別的重點在於"Design"上是吧!!以PS2來說,華碩,鴻海都沒有Design PS2,只是製造,所以華碩,鴻海在PS2的腳色上只是OEM代工廠而已,因為他們uses product components去build product,而沒有design,符合OEM company的定義 .而說Sony是ODM company也怪怪的,因為"For the case that the OEM companies are capable to design the products, will be the ODM",具備design能力的OEM公司為ODM company,換言之ODM company也必須去build product,但是Sony把build product交給華碩/鴻海去做了,也不太符合ODM company的定義
至於Intel在主機板的腳色上,"An OEM is a company that uses product components from one or more other companies to build the product",換言之OEM公司必須去build product,而不管如何,Intel都沒有去製造主機板,這一點應該完全不符合OEM公司的定義吧??而此時華碩的腳色,就在於這一塊主機板的design是誰做的,若是Intel做的,那華碩這時就純粹是OEM的腳色,若是華碩design的,"For the case that the OEM companies are capable to design the products, will be the ODM",依此定義,華碩除了製造主機板之外,還design了這一塊MB,所以腳色就變成ODM company了
