關於easy company的連頭仔，依小弟手邊查到的資料是這樣子的：

The WWII Company Commanders of E Company 506th PIR went as follows:

1942-April 1944 : Herbert M Sobel. He was reassigned to command
Service Company, 506th PIR. Remained there throughout the war.
(第一任連長是Sobel，Cpt. Sobel在經歷過士官帶頭反抗後，被調到傘兵學校
，戰爭開始後又被調到戰線，帶勤務連一直到戰後。)


April 1944- June, 1944: Thomas Meehan. Killed in Action on June 6th
1944 when his plane and "stick" of Troopers (along with the crew) was
shot down.
(第二任連長是Lt. Meehan，跳傘當日失蹤(MIA)，第二級中有交代他的這架飛機
被擊落。)


June 1944-Oct 1944: Richard D. Winters. Promoted from 1st Platoon CO to Company Commander in Normandy and remainded the CO until promoted to 2nd Battalion XO in Holland. Eventually became CO of second battalion.
(由於第二任連長MIA, Missed in Action，所以由當時最資深的第一排排長
Lt. Winters接任，在荷蘭時後升到營部當幕僚，最後成為第二營的營長,
變成 Maj. Winters，一直到戰後。)


October 1944: Fred "Moose" Heyliger. Promoted from Heavy Weapons to Command E Company after Winters' promotion. Seriously wounded in action.
(Winters升到營部後，接替的第四任連長是綽號 "Moose" 的 Lt. Heyliger，
Winters接營部幕僚之後，對 easy 還是很掛心，而且他覺得對於處理行政事務覺得
很煩心，1944.10.31 21:00，他約了當時easy的連長 Heyliger，想要一起看看
easy的防線。結果就因為 Heyliger 一時忘記了口令，就被巡邏的老兵轟了三槍。
Heyliger也就拿到了回家的機票。以上在某一集中有演出來。)


Oct 1944-January 1945: Norman Dike. Commanded E Company during Bastogne. Relieved of command during the attack on Foy.
(第五任連長是 Lt. Norman Dike，接替 Heyliger，他是從師部調來過水佔領導缺
的，他的無能也不用我多做介紹。在第七還是第八集 easy 進攻 Foy 的時候，被
當場換掉。這傢伙因為有高人罩著，最後還是回師部去了。)


January 1945-August 1945: Ronald C. Speirs. Promoted from D Company 506th PIR and took command during the attack on Foy. Longest tenured combat commander of E Company remaining with them the duration of the war.
(第六任連長是 Lt. Speirs，在攻 Foy 的時候接替 Dike，也就是大家在影集中看到
他神奇的衝來衝去那幾幕，他本來是 dog company 的排長。也是 easy company
到二戰結束後的最後一任連長。)

Speirs 最後一直留在 Army，官拜上尉。
