I heard people saying that when you copy large size files, computers with VIA or Nvidia's chipset will lag or become slow if you want to do other things at the same time (something like playing MP3 or downloading files using BT or emule/edonkey at the same time). SIS's chipset (south bridge) will not have such problem.

I do not have two computers, one with VIA or Nvidia's chipset and one with SIS's chipset so I do not know how to prove it either. After I had bad experience with VIA's chipset, and I had good impression with SIS's chipset (ECS K7S5A is the one I help many many friends install their computers), I decided to use SIS's product for AMD's CPU whenever it is possible.

And I wait and wait and finally there is Asrock's K7S8XE+...low cost motherboard with o/c functions, USB2.0, and SATA!

Before I upgrade to this new system I was using Intel P3-550E o/c 825 Mhz (MSI BX Master is the motherboard, 5.5 x 150). The CPU alone costs more than the total cost of K7S8XE+ & 1700+!!!

I think it is about the time to retire the old P3-550E when I see K7S8XE+, and I think this new system will be good for a while from now on...
