Ed Gein的故事, 最早是被Robert Bloch改寫成小說"驚魂記"(Psycho), 然後被希區考克拍成電影.

Tobe Hooper編導的[德州電鋸殺人狂](The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, 1974), 也是根據Ed Gein的故事加以改編. (2003年版是根據此片重拍的)

再來就是[沉默的羔羊](The Silence of the Lambs, 1991)中的Buffalo Bill, 也是以Ed Gein為藍本.
