Sorry,
I have to explain my problem in English because I can't type Chinese on my computer now due to incomplete reinstallation.
My computer has GIGABYTE 7VAXP with the chip of VIA KT400, Athlon XP 1700+, DDR RAM 256 mb X 2, SB Audigy, Intel net card, WD 80G X2, ASUS 16X DVD, ASUS 40X CDR, and some other peripherals. I started to use it since last Sep. and it was stable except that sometimes it can't close normally- it hanged on the blue closing window.
However, in this one month, it started to crashed down during normal usage, such as internet browing, view documents. I've reinstalled the ATI 8500 AIW OMEGA driver for 2 times, the 2.74a and the previous version, but in vain. I've removed the driver step by step under the suggestion of an article in the forum.
When crash-down happened, the computer showed horizontal and vertical lines, or, a lot of grids in many colors. The first crash-down happened when I view a real-player files via RealOne player, no any pictures were shown, and then the following crash-down let me crazy. The crash-down happened most frequently in playing real-player files, and once when I open a mpeg file twice. The crash-down of playing realplayer files was solved after I removed realone player and installed realplayer 8.
The following situation was, crash-down just after entering the Windows XP for about 2 mintues. In the beginning, I can solve it by restarting my computer for several times or entering the safe mode. But now, I even can't enter the safe mode. The crash-down pictures are all the same mode, vertical and horizontal lines over the moniter. After the moniter only showed grids, the music continues for about 30 seconds and then stoppted, too.
I have searched the forum but I can't find any solutions or clues. Can anyone help me or tell me what happened?
I plan to reintall my computer in this several days. But I still want to know what happened to my computer.
One more thing, I played the simulator of SEGA and something like that in recent 1 month. The crash-down happened after that. I played realplayer files normally via realone player before.
Thanks for your help.
