ok This new Duron is basically a Tbred core with partially disabled L2 cache.
Maybe the cache is really defective, or purposedly being disabled to make it as low end market solution.

Yup some China Mainlander hav tried to connect all L2 bridges and sucessfully enable the hidden cache...

Again, this so called Appalbred/Applebred is made by Tbred core.
Thorton is made from Barton core but the official naming scheme still remains unknown...
