Dear Sir,

Being in this relative field, I know that it is impossible to include all the language into the memory.
However, maybe you don't realize that....reading Simplified Chinese to all the customers of Taiwan, R.O.C. is quite difficult.
The Traditional Chinese & Simplified Chinese are quite different. Though both of them are called Chinese....

For the marketing consideration, it may be convenient to develop one Chinese User Interface for covering all the Chinese markets, such as Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong...,etc. However, this policy is quite unreasonable. And....it hurts all Taiwan customers' heart and respect deeply.

In the recent period, the Sony Computer Entertainment had just announced that they are so happy for the progress of PS2 game markets in Taiwan. They also believe deeply that one of the key points is providing Traditional Chinese User Interface and they will keep going to this direction in the future.

Sir, could you realize the mood we feel? We buy your products, and we need you respects. We don't want the Simplified Chinese, truly speaking, it's useless to us.

In the past 2 years, I've gone traveling Japan for 3 times. No matter what city I've been, Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka, I'm so pleased about the manner and respect to us. That's the image that Japan gave us.

And now, what image would Canon want to give all the customers in Taiwan,R.O.C.?

Dear Mr. Bryan Dong:

Thank you for your e-mail regarding our product, Canon PowerShot A40.
We are always happy to hear from our customers.

We appreciate your taking time to let us know of your ideas of the
feature you would like to see in A40.
We have been receiving many comments, suggestions or requests for
the future products from all over the world.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to comply all of those requests.
It is impossible to include the all language around the world,
due to the memory capacity of the camera.
Your feed back on our products, however, will be positive input into
for our future service planning.

Your mail has been forwarded to our development section for their
information.

Thank you very much again for thinking of Canon.

Sincerely yours,
