剛剛查collins　cobuild英英字典（2006年版）
其中有一段說明：

A rise is an increase in your wages or your salary. (BRIT; in AM, use raise)
He will get a pay rise of nearly £4,000.
= increase

不曉得和這題有沒有什麼關聯性呢?

剛剛又查了LONGMAN英英字典
其中有一段寫著：

rise（n）

其中關鍵在於BrE與AmE各代表什麼意思？
