片子於2001年3月22日在洛杉磯開拍，在柯林法瑞(Colin Farrell)簽約演出Ed這個角色之前，製作公司曾經與Matt Damon談過，而Samantha Morton的角色本來製作公司也屬意由凱特布蘭琪or珍娜艾芙曼飾演，但最後一切定了案，由好萊塢新星Colin Farrell與Tom / Meryl Streep等資深演員一同飆戲~~

這裡的[committed]不知該如何翻譯較好,是[確定犯罪]或[犯罪]的意思應該都接近..
