解答為何SATA無法跑SATA150
未使用RAID功能的朋友們, 如果您要使用SATA的話請注意:
根據Intel 的疑難排解中: ============================================== SATA 控制器有三種操作模式︰ * IDE 模式 - 無 AHCI,無 RAID * SATA 模式 (有時稱作 AHCI 模式) - 啟用 AHCI,無 RAID * RAID 模式 - 啟用 AHCI,啟用 RAID AHCI 模式亦允許使用熱抽換磁碟。 ============================================== SATA 控制器執行速度未達每秒 150MB Intel® 桌上型公用程式可能回報序列 ATA 磁碟速度只有 ATA 速度 (ATA/100 或 ATA/133)。 這是因為序列 ATA 控制器於「模擬平行 ATA」模式下執行,並使用了 Windows* 平行 ATA 驅動程式 (如 atapi.sys)。序列 ATA 控制器可在較高的傳輸速率下運作,但它也可能在較慢的平行 ATA 傳輸模式下運作。在 Windows Server* 2003 之前的所有 Windows 版本均支援「模擬平行 ATA」模式。 ============================================== 因此可知, 凡使用模擬P-ATA模式的, 是無法達到SATA150的. 由"哪些 ATA/SATA 驅動程式適用於我的晶片組?"一文得知: 南橋ICH5/6/7都不支援AHCI模式, ICH5/6/7R才有支援. 現在市面上不管是否 ICH*/ICH*R 都說是SATA150, 已涉及不實****, 請消費者注意! |
就算真的用了 ICH-6 ICH-6R 你還是跑不了真的到 SATA-150 的水準.... :stupefy:

我當然知道那個是理論值, ATA133也跑不到133這個值! 重點是, 一但用了ICH5/6/7便限制在 UDMA5/6 -> ATA100/133, 連SATA宣稱的熱插拔都做不到. 那麼消費者何需花較多錢買SATA裝置? |
2005年SATAII(300)上市.2007年SATAIII(600).照上市時間算可以找到廠商的"市場"

Native Serial ATA mode controllers can be made to work with all existing versions of Windows as long as the controllers come with the appropriate drivers. With these drivers, Windows can be installed on and booted from Serial ATA storage devices in the same way many parallel ATA add-on controllers do currently. When Ataport is introduced in a future version of Windows, Microsoft plans to ship a miniport driver for Ataport that will support AHCI Serial ATA controllers. ========================================================= 可知, SATA的完整功能與驅動程式有關而非Windows版本. 就算功能不完整, 總比模擬P-ATA模式完全沒有SATA功能來的強! 而要有完整的功能, AHCI Serial ATA controllers是否被支援是關鍵. 如前文所述, ICH5/6/7 不支援AHCI, 你的Windows再新也沒用! |
我倒覺得這樣子很方便呀..至少裝 Windows XP 時不用按 F6..對於沒有 Floppy 的人..感覺超好的..:p
