CPRM compatibility test on PC DVD devices
 

test some DVD-ROM, combo, burner recently to see what's compatible with CPRM disc. Content Protection on Recordable Media. you have to use CPRM compatible devices to record/watch programs from DBS. hope below info is helpful for you to choose DVD device if you want to watch DBS on PC. and welcome everyone's contribution to add more models.

seems all LiteOn ain't compatible.
same as HLDTST, all NG.
JP brands ain't 100% compatible, have to test to know.

how aobut benq 1620(1600)(1610) & nec 3500A(2500A) still work ?
Abd where could i find such info? Which forum ?

well, I don't have Benq/NEC machines to test.

except those quoted 'someone', all machines are tested by myself one by one. took me about 2 weeks to get job done.

hope more people who own other models can test and public the result here.

BTW, tks Allen's SW support. you need PowerDVD5+ and CPRM module to do the test.

如果沒記錯的話，NEC國外原廠網頁有提到NEC ND-6650A是有支援CPRM光碟片讀取的功能。
