Is SuperBit for zone 3 market only?
 

I can't find any "SuperBit" in U.S. I mean zone "1" . Is "SuperBit" for Taiwan only? And I can't find any "DTS" in zone 1 neither. Use T2 for example, the best one I can find is T2 "eXtreme" 2 discs edition. It's Delby digital, THX 16:9 Widescreen 2.35 aspect ratio. No DTS & SuperBit can be found. :confused:

Superbit is not for the Region 3 only, It's an internatinally lauched series.

However, It's a Technically enhanced version DVD of "Columbia TriStar Studio", that means "Superbit" is a franchise of Sony, so only movies from Sony studio have the possibility to be made in "Superbit" standard, and be released under the name.

So as for the instance you mentioned before, "T2", Since it wasn't a film from Columbia studio, you'll never get it in Superbit.

He's right! I on't know the reason why you can't find superbit in U.S. Maybe you just have the wrong way!
And superbit is not region 3 only!You can almost find superbit in region 1-6.
T2 ,the extreme edition didn't come with dts soundtrack,you have to looking for T2 ultimate edition if you can still find it!

Thanks, I found some in Fry's today. They are located a special section next to the TV series DVD. It's $20 each. :) Now I have new question.

Why they are more expensive than Zone 3 ? From What I have read from this forum zone 3 only cost around $10 now. :nonono:

Rather than buying R1 Superbits in stores, I think you are better off ordering them on line. You will have to pay local taxes when you buy in stores. Go on www.dvdpricesearch.com and you can research for different e-tailers.

R1 Superbits are more expensive than R3 counterparts because the former are never on sale. If you have a region-free player, you can order R3 Superbits from Asian websites and save a lot of money.
