According to a source at Ain't It Cool News, Diesel confirmed that he's down for Terminator 3 while speaking on the UK's Century Radio. He reportedly discussed his role as the evil "T-1G" and expressed his excitement about being the the same film as his hero Arnold Schwarzenegger. Vin said the script was "just phenomenal," and that he loves the idea of playing the bad guy.

Diesel also "confirmed" that Jonathan Mostow (U-571) will direct. Mostow has been the leading candidate for the T3 director gig for several months.

This "confirmation" doesn't have the IGN FilmForce stamp of approval, as we haven't been able to confirm any of it independently but a similar report cropped up over at Moviehole that gives the report credence. Several other high-profile sites have picked up this story, which has one small error. The reports lists Edward Norton as part of the T3 cast. Let me put a stop to this before the rumor mill gets completely out of control. Norton is not in Terminator 3, it's a simple typo, that was meant to say Edward Furlong. Although, the idea of Ed Norton in a Terminator film does sound kinda cool.
