如何在CentOS Stream 8安裝pulseeffects？
 

當我在 CentOS Stream 8安裝pulseeffects時， 我用了二條指令。
wget https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/...fc33.x86_64.rpm

sudo dnf localinstall pulseeffects-4.8.3-1.fc33.x86_64.rpm -y

然而，卻出現了the conflicting requests問題
請問，我該如何安裝pulseeffects才會成功?

dependency 問題
用dnf whatprovides */libebur128.so.1 把package找到裝上
基本上缺啥補啥
如果真的找不到package~~建議找tar ball重編比較省事
下面兩個套件也沒裝
gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free-extras
ladspa-calf-plugins

centos 8 不是明年要收攤了。

可以改用 7，７ 支援到 2024
然後之後可以看 Oracle Linux
他們似乎也打算做 RHEL rebuild
( 原本是 CentOS rebuild )

不然就是等 Rocky Linux
( CentOS 項目創始人另外開創的 RHEL rebuild )

我用的是其主力產品CentOs "Stream" 8, 而非CentOS 8。因此，其支援期無限長。

謝謝你提供指令，畢竟我自己壓根找不到這些。
由於Fedora33可灌PulseEffects等，所以我就誤以為CentOS Stream也可以。但試了之後，才知道缺東缺西的。

你有提到我還少灌二個東西，而我知道這點，但由於疲累，所以沒去灌。

I installed Oracle Linux 8 successfully in my desktop computer, but there was a black screen without cursor after rebooting. I failed three times in installing Oracle Linux.

So I installed CentOS Stream 8 in the same computer, and I could login sucessfully after rebooting.!

However, the two distributions above are very similar， and the SSD is the same.

Why did I just have a black screen after rebooting Oracle Linux 8? Thanks.

PS:
Oracle Linux 8 uses UEK R6 kernel, and CentOS Stream uses kernel-4.18.0-144.el8!
My CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600

However, I didn't use Oracle VM Server, and I really installed Oracle Linux in SSD!

When I firstly boot Oracle Linux 8, there is only black screen, so I ca't choose another kernel!

CentOS 留下的餅真的很大人人搶。

Oracle Linux 原本就是 RHEL rebuild, 它出新版的速度都比 CentOS 快多了。
品質也是相當不錯啦，還把 RHEL 拔掉的功能像是 btrfs, lsi sas2 的 driver 都加回去了。
但是光是衝著 Oracle 這個名號就一堆人不爽用了。

Rocky Linux 不看好。還不如 CloudLinux 一開口就是每年三千萬來做(第一年也許會投這個錢，以後是否每年都這樣很懷疑，畢竟三千萬應該比原本 CentOS team 還多了）

Springdale 是校園專案大家也沒興趣。許多人包括我還是在等待 ScientificLinux 明年第一季的最終表態。畢竟這次 CERN 被 CentOS 擺了一道，感覺有很大的可能會和 Fermilab 攜手回歸。打包套件是一件枯燥乏味的工作，還是讓有領薪水的國家單位來做，最令人放心。

另外我覺得這次 CentOS 事件最悲傷的就是 RedHat 了，明明正事都是他在做，卻惹來一堆罵名，反而複製人博得了名聲。世間事就是如此....

這是天大的誤會。stream 8 的支援期只到 2024 年，之後就不會再支援了，使用者必須轉進 stream 9。相對 RHEL8 會支援到 2029 年，但是之後五年的 package， stream 8 都吃不到。

因為 RHEL8 導入 app stream 的關係， EPEL8 也是有苦難言進度嚴重落後，所以套件更少了。至於 EPEL 8-stream 感覺更是天方夜譚。但是 RHEL8 的基底是 Fedora 28, 所以少的套件可以試試看使用 Fedora 28 的，許多都可以直接套用，就算不能用，從 source rpm 重建也十分容易。

Fedora33可灌PulseEffects，但Fedora是紅帽分支中的前線，所以我不想用。
畢竟我是新手！因此，我偏好Oracle Linux、CentOs Stream。
