影評家公認將鐵達尼號事蹟拍得最好的電影是[冰海沉船記](A Night to Remember, 1958), 在IMDB的觀眾評分也高過[鐵達尼號].
這部是英國拍攝的, 導演是Roy Ward Baker, 黑白片, 將整個事件拍得巨細靡遺, 讓人純然地感動, 不需添加任何"雜質".
以前有看到VCD, 若能買到三區DVD(一區已出), 肯定把[鐵達尼號]拿來當飛盤.


如果只是不加雜質的話,紀錄片更好!

A Night to Remember是仿紀錄片型態的劇情片, 真正的紀錄片我反而看不下去.
看過此片的人, 才會知道[鐵達尼號]真是避重就輕, 實在是侮辱那些船難的罹難者.
真實事件中全體男乘客犧牲讓婦孺先逃難的高貴情操, [鐵達尼號]就沒有強調出來.

Titanic Se & New Imax Film...
Director James Cameron has recently been back to the wreck of the ill-fated ship, to take new images and full motion video for use in an upcoming special edition DVD version of the film. Paramount has plans to produce a new SE, which would feature a new anamorphic widescreen transfer, but it's still more than a year away at least.

Currently Cameron is completing work on a 3D IMAX documentary called "Ghosts of the Abyss." More information on this IMAX film
should follow shortly.
