不過有些主機板不是會提供低階格式化的功能嗎?應該也可以用.

Drive Fitness Test (version 2.10)

Supports SCSI and IDE drives
Currently, the Drive Fitness Test does not support IBM Microdrives or Travelstar E drives.
Analyzes drive fitness
Three modes of operation:

-- Full media scan

Performs real-time analysis of IBM drives to quickly determine whether the drive has a problem.
Identifies system problems such as cables, temperature, etc.
Automatically logs significant drive parameters to track potential impacts to the operation of the drive.

Restores drive fitness (overwrites customer data)
Erase Bootsector utility (use DFT Utility option: Erase Boot Sector)
Low-level format utility (use DFT Utility option: Erase Disk)

Note: Both utilities will overwrite all customer data and allow repair of bad sectors.

低階格式化的好處是可以拯救硬碟上的邏輯性壞軌,壞處是有點傷硬碟,
不建議常常做
所以,如果你的硬碟並無壞軌,就不需要這個程式:)

Low Level Format的功能勒

這我不大清楚,好像是牽涉到每家硬碟廠商其硬碟參數都不盡相同的關係吧!!
