我是在英國DVD消息網站上看到的，是歐洲二區片，四月推出。


Paramount Home Entertainment have put out the official announcement of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" on DVD. The release is a little more devoid of information than I had hoped but it does set the date officially as April 1st (no joking !). It also set the RRP as ú 84.99 which is about what we expected. The Series will launch on April 1st with SEASON ONE, a seven-disc collector's box set containing all 26 episodes from the first season, along with four newly created documentaries exclusive to the DVD release. Each subsequent season will release on DVD, at intervals of approximately two months throughout the year.

Picking up decades after Captain Kirk and his original crew left off, Emmy-winning STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION follows the exciting adventures of Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) as he leads an all new U.S.S Enterprise on adventurous missions into deep space. The series also stars Jonathan Frakes as William T. Riker, Le Var Burton as Geordi La Forge, Denise Crosby as Tasha Yar, Michael Dorn as Wolf, Gates McFadden as Beverly Crusher, Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi, Brent Spiner as Data and Wil Wheaton as Wesley Crusher.

"As everyone knows, the Star Trek franchise is one of the cornerstones of Paramount, so we have lavished a lot of attention on these NEXT GENERATION season box sets," said Eric Doctorow, president, Paramount Home Entertainment Worldwide. "They have been packaged with an eye to what the public say they would like to see on the shelf at home by the DVD player - a unique collectable design containing all seven seasons."

Star Trek Brand Manager in the UK comments: " The DVD boxset allows fans to experience Star Trek in the format that it deserves - digital quality picture with superb 5.1 sound. The stunning added features promise to offer all audiences a real treat combining action, special effects and exclusive never seen before footage."

Each season of the STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION DVDs is presented in a sleek, innovatively packaged and highly collectable box set, embossed and printed with a brushed-metal-like finish. An enclosed digipak holds all seven discs in place, along with a pull-out booklet of episode information, plus a panoramic montage of the crew. Moving forward, each season of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION will be released as a box set to create an attractive library of the series to appeal to the Star Trek and DVD collector alike. Season-specific metallic inks differentiate the seven seasons for retailers and consumers.

The DVD of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION - SEASON ONE is presented in a full frame version and the audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo. The DVDs are sub-titled in English and closed-captioned for the hearing impaired.

The DVD of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION - SEASON ONE will be available to own at (RRP) ú 84.99. Each disc has a running time of approximately 176 minutes, with the exception of disc seven, which has 88 minutes of features and approximately 60 minutes of special features. All seven discs are encoded with MacrovisionÖ AntiCopy process

總覺得派拉蒙是不是不肯發三區的…希望不會在買了一區TNG合集後，突然跑個三區版發售在即…

不是沒有可能，他們現在手中只剩下「派拉蒙」這隻金雞母了，想要靠「探索」DVD賺錢就行？
